He has been instrumental in the production of three Olympics — including the 1988 Games in Seoul, when he was VP of operations for NBC Olympics, and three World Cups. He has worked with most all notable broadcasters and their teams, including ABC, CBS, Channel One, CNBC, ESPN, Fox, HBO, MLB Network, MTV, NBC, and Showtime. Mr. Aagaard began consulting for CBS in 1997 and joined CBS Sports full time in 1998 as VP of operations and engineering, but continues to work on CBT projects. In his spare time, Shane enjoys time with his son and daughter, and is an avid lover of the outdoors who enjoys camping, hiking, mountain biking and scuba diving.

Matthew Swanson

Studio Technician

For Matthew Swanson, it all began on a Hollywood backlot. After being invited to spend the day at Universal Studios to watch the taping of an NBC sitcom, he realized that television was his calling. At just 13 years old, Matthew loved technology and always thought he would become an astronaut, but quickly realized how few people went to space. Instead, he found another way to visit new worlds: by making them.

The TV bug bit hard and while pursuing a degree in theatre, writing, directing and set design at Scottsdale Community College, Matthew began freelancing for Davidson Entertainment and Zupa Films, as well as doing photography and lighting for the Phoenix Theatre Company, the Tempe Center for the Arts and the Herberger Theater Center. Ever advancing his skills, he was soon hired as a production assistant for major national commercials. That led to a full-time freelance position at Sneaky Big, a Phoenix-area full service production company where he honed his skills as a production assistant, media manager, camera operator, stage manager – whatever needed to be done, Matthew became proficient in it.

Now as BitFire’s Studio Technician, Matthew is one of the only XR studio technicians in the entire state of Arizona. He is responsible for placing a talent in an extended reality set and making scenes as realistic and beautiful as possible. For Matthew, working at BitFire creating immersive environments and ensuring all the components go together seamlessly has so far been the highlight of his career.

Delaney is excited to combine her passions of broadcast and accounting at BitFire. Delaney also has multiple years of experience in Behavioral Health, and she also currently works for a nonprofit for at-risk youth.
